Sugarcane!!

HEY PEOPLE!!! AM BAAAAACK!!!

Oh...Nobody's here!! :)

Ok. Well, I'm back after 7 and half months!! I don't know what I'm back from!! The next thing I remember about my childhood / childhood friends is - we three going for long walks, to the quarry behind our colony, to the places where girls used to hang out for the tuitions to start!!! There was once this incident; I guess we three still remember it as one of the most hilarious days of our childhood!! We were returning back to our colony from the long walk to the quarry, and there was a sugarcane stick lying on the street. Both, Bond and Munna (name changed for security reasons :-P), tried to grab it at once! Bond jumped on it landing his feet on the leaves part of the sugarcane stick and Munna tried to grab it by its base. Munna jerked it so hard that it made Bond lose his balance and he fell on the street!! At that instant all three of us started laughing and we kept on laughing. We laughed so hard that anybody who saw would have called up the nearest mental asylum to report for 3 escaped mental patients!! Well, we reached Munna's house and we were still laughing. Munna had stripped the sugarcane stick off its leaves and was playing around with the stick by throwing it in the air and trying to catch it back. The stick had 2 nodes and 3 parts. As we had almost stopped laughing in the house verandah, Munna threw the stick in the air, and as it came swivelling down, I and Munna both shouted "Bond!! Watch out!!". The stick hit Bond's head!!! It broke into 2 pieces; in the ratio of 2:1. As it fell down, we looked at each other for few seconds and started to laugh again!! We were literally ROTFLnLnL :D :D. Thankfully there was nobody inside Munna's house!

Well the famous verandah, has many memories embedded in it! The sugarcane stick story, the underarm cricket, the tennis, GI Joe adventures, big fights...So many!!! I just wish for once I could enjoy those moments again!!!

15 saal ... pehle!!!

Well, I have resisted blogging for a long time now. But I guess that was not long enough!!

Although I tried, but my brain rejects to go past my fourth grade in search of good memories. I remember it as if it happened yesterday.

"Whoa!!!", I thought, "100 bucks". It was 8th April and it was my birthday. My dad had presented me with this new, greenish-bluish, great smelling note of 100 bucks. We had just shifted into a new neighbourhood, all the luggages and other things were scattered through the whole house and it was the first double bedroom house we were living in! As my luck would have it, there was a curfew at our place the day we shifted to the new house; and it was my birthday. I was the most happiest and the most depressed in our family that day. Happy, obviously because of 100 rupees and sad since I couldn't spend it for the next 5 days!

The next day, when I was standing in the front balcony, I saw a person running towards our house. He looked 8, may be 9, and he was darting towards my new home. As he neared I recognised his face; he was one of my classmates. "How the hell did he know about my new house? Am I that popular that people now stalk me?", were my first thoughts. Then I was enlightened that he owned a house right down the lane, and I was back to reality! Now this day marked the beginning of a "BOND"ing which lasted 14 years and is still ticking!!! He made me meet his neighbour (who was also 8-9 years old), who had a TOP* in his hand and obviously not pleased to meet me. I came to know the reason only 2 years ago!

And yeah, I forgot to mention... This happened in April 1992 (The year mentioned to stress the fact that 100 bucks really had great value in that period)!!!
